The Woltjen Lab was at Till & McCulloch Meeting 2023 in Toronto, Canada!

Dr. Knut Woltjen presented our research on applying predictable MMEJ deletions in a recent collaboration with the Gotoh Lab at CiRA, where we defined the role of ACE2 in SARS-CoV-2 infection using an iPS cell-derived lung model.

In addition, postdoctoral fellow Dr. Gabriel Martínez-Gálvez and doctoral student Ryo Niwa presented posters on gene editing of Variable Number Tandem Repeats in common iPS cell lines, and capturing variations in mtDNA of iPS cells, respectively.

Gabriel also won runner-up at the meeting’s graphical abstract competition. Congratulations Gabriel!
